Kevin Cronin - Executive Chef
Inspired by family, culture and travel, Chef Kevin Cronin brings creative globally inspired contemporary American cuisine to the Iron Room. A native of Pittsburgh raised in Ocean City, Cronin discovered his passion for cooking surrounded by the women of his family as they prepared family meals from scratch. Their approach would become the foundation to Cronin’s own culinary style: use fresh local ingredients, celebrate your heritage, embrace history, local culture, and regional cuisine.
Chef Kevin Cronin set out to learn and define his own culinary alongside a talented, but diverse group of chefs in New Jersey, Philadelphia, New York City and Costa Rica. From classic French kitchens to remote seaside villages to the eclectic famed Chelsea kitchen of Chef Wesley Wobles, Porters, Cronin never stopped learning. His journey lead him home for a summer at Seagate Landing in Avalon, before returning to the city to eventually take the reins of Wild Edibles.
Cronin joined Mark Callazo in opening the Iron Room with the goal of creating a true culinary destination at the shore. A restaurant and bar that allows guest to experience, unwind and enjoy amazing food and drink in a relaxed intimate environment that celebrates Atlantic City’s past, present and future. The Iron Room is a true expression of Cronin’s experience, travels and life. Inspired, local, sustainable plates that embrace both season.
